Creating a Joyful Community with Parent and Family Programming
Parents are a child's first and most important teacher. We offer free educational programs and resources, providing parents and caregivers information and confidence to be successful in their role of first teachers.
We host nationally respected researchers, authors and Early Childhood leaders to speak on issues such as early brain and child development, peer and sibling relationships, play, appropriate use of technology in early childhood, school readiness, strategies to deal with difficult behaviors, twins and multiples, and support of children with special needs. Please visit our Upcoming Events page for this year’s updated program calendar.
Parenting Workshop Series
Launching in September 2019, is our first parenting workshop series, “Parenting with Confidence” in partnership with Tuesday’s Child. This workshop will provide parents with specific strategies to create peaceful routines and encourage cooperation. Parents walk away with phrases that boost cooperation and help maintain positive behaviors outside the home. Alternatives to yelling and threatening to get things done will also be discussed. Join us for these informative workshops and get ready for a peaceful positive household! Registration is requested.
New Parent Group
Launching in Spring 2020, will be a 10-Week New Parent Group welcoming all parents, not just first timers. This group will help parents adjust to the newborn in their life, develop a strong support system, and build strong relationships with other new parents. Limited spots available. Registration required. Stay tuned for more information.
Special Needs Roundtable
We are looking to connect and support families of children with special needs. If you are interested in receiving information about meet-ups, seminars, and support groups, please contact Lyn Aleshire at firstname.lastname@example.org
